Former President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, is facing scrutiny from a federal watchdog over alleged financial misreporting tied to her nonprofit organization. According to an exclusive report by The Daily Mail, the Women’s Wellness Spa(ce), a wellness center founded by Ashley Biden, failed to disclose a $250,000 donation from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in its official financial filings.

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), a government ethics watchdog, has referred the matter to the IRS for investigation, citing clear violations of nonprofit reporting laws. The donation in question was received in 2023, while Joe Biden was still president.

Federal Watchdog Calls for IRS Investigation

The NLPC’s complaint outlines multiple reporting discrepancies, including Ashley Biden’s failure to disclose the large donation from the Archewell Foundation, the charitable organization founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“Ms. Biden failed to report the receipt of a grant of $250,000 made in 2023 by the Archewell Foundation,” the complaint states. “In addition, there are other reporting violations, including failing to identify all members of the Board of Directors of her nonprofit.”

The NLPC further noted that Ashley Biden’s nonprofit reported only $170,296 in total revenue for 2023, making the missing $250,000 grant particularly concerning.

“This large contribution raised eyebrows due to the political implications of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempt to ingratiate themselves with President Biden and his family,” the complaint continued. “A full audit of Ashley Biden’s group is warranted to determine where the $250,000 was deposited and how it was used.”

Questionable Compensation Raises More Red Flags

The watchdog also pointed to inconsistencies in Ashley Biden’s reported salary and work hours, suggesting potential misrepresentation in the nonprofit’s official filings.

According to the complaint:

  • Biden reported working 40 hours per week for the nonprofit but received only $11,250 in salary from July 18, 2023, to December 31, 2023—a 22-week period.
  • This equates to $511 per week, or approximately $12.75 per hour—a low wage for someone with her educational and professional background.
  • The NLPC suspects that Biden may have exaggerated her reported work hours, as she was engaged in other politically related activities and foreign travel with her mother, First Lady Jill Biden, during the same timeframe.

IRS Complaint Calls for Full Audit and Possible Penalties

The watchdog is urging the IRS to launch a full investigation into Ashley Biden’s nonprofit, including a potential audit and depositions to uncover the whereabouts of the unreported $250,000 donation.

“The IRS must conduct a full investigation and audit of Women’s Wellness Spa(ce), including deposing Ashley Biden, to find out what happened to the $250,000 from the Archewell Foundation,” the NLPC’s complaint reads. “Furthermore, appropriate civil and criminal penalties should be assessed, as Ms. Biden submitted and signed Form 990 under penalty of perjury.”

Ashley Biden’s Past Controversies Resurface

This isn’t the first time Ashley Biden has made headlines. In 2024, she was at the center of a stolen diary scandal, which resulted in the conviction of Florida woman Aimee Harris, who was sentenced to one month in prison for stealing and selling Ashley Biden’s personal diary.

According to Fox News, Harris was sentenced in a Manhattan federal courtroom, where she also received three months of home confinement.

During the proceedings, Harris admitted to stealing the diary from a home in Delray Beach, Florida, where Ashley Biden had temporarily stored her belongings in 2020. She later sold the diary to Project Veritas, a controversial investigative group known for its secret recordings and exposés targeting news organizations, labor unions, and Democratic politicians.

A tearful Harris expressed remorse, telling the judge:

“I do not believe I am above the law… I’m a survivor of long-term domestic abuse and sexual trauma.”

Harris had pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in 2022, admitting that she received $20,000 of the $40,000 that Project Veritas paid for Ashley Biden’s belongings.

Biden Administration Faces Mounting Scrutiny

The controversy surrounding Ashley Biden’s nonprofit finances adds another layer of scrutiny to the Biden family’s financial dealings, as Republican lawmakers continue to push for investigations into allegations of political favoritism and financial misconduct.

With the IRS now being urged to take action, this latest development raises serious questions about the oversight and accountability of charitable organizations linked to high-profile political figures.

As the investigation unfolds, pressure is expected to mount on the IRS and congressional watchdogs to further examine the financial activities of Biden’s family members and their business dealings.
