President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the adult children of former President Joe Biden will no longer receive U.S. Secret Service protection, citing excessive costs and unnecessary taxpayer burden.

Trump Revokes Secret Service for Hunter and Ashley Biden

In a Truth Social post, Trump took aim at Hunter Biden, stating that he had been receiving extended Secret Service protection long after the standard period.

🗣 Trump’s Key Statements:
✔ “There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!”
✔ “Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection.”
✔ “Ashley Biden, Hunter’s sister, will also lose her Secret Service detail of 13 assigned agents.”

🚨 Secret Service Responds:
✔ The Secret Service confirmed Trump’s decision, stating:

“We are aware of the President’s decision to terminate protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden. The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.”

Under federal law, former presidents and their spouses receive lifetime Secret Service protection, but protection for their immediate family members over the age of 16 ends when they leave office. Both Trump and Biden had previously extended Secret Service details for their children for six months after leaving office.

🔍 Notably, former President Joe Biden allowed Barron Trump to retain his protection past his 16th birthday—a move that some speculate could have influenced Trump’s latest decision.

Trump Calls Out Biden Over South Africa Policies

In his post, Trump also criticized Biden’s vacation in South Africa, highlighting the country’s controversial land expropriation law and its stance on Hamas and Iran.

Trump’s Key Accusations Against South Africa:

✔ The country’s land seizure policies discriminate against White landowners.
✔ South Africa has supported Palestinian terrorist group Hamas and Iran.
✔ Because of this, Trump announced that South Africa has been removed from the list of countries receiving U.S. Economic and Financial Assistance.

📢 Trump’s Statement:

“Because of this, South Africa has been taken off our list of countries receiving Economic and Financial Assistance.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio Declares South African Ambassador “Persona Non Grata”

🔥 Adding fuel to the fire, Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently declared that South Africa’s ambassador to the U.S., Ebrahim Rasool, is “no longer welcome” in the country.

🚨 What Sparked Rubio’s Decision?

During a Friday webinar, Rasool accused the Trump administration of fueling a “supremacist assault” through its MAGA policies, citing demographic shifts in the U.S.

🗣 Rasool’s Statement:

“The supremacist assault on incumbency, we see it in the domestic politics of the U.S.A., the MAGA movement, the Make America Great Again movement, as a response not simply to a supremacist instinct, but to very clear data that shows great demographic shifts in the U.S.A. in which the voting electorate is projected to become 48% White.”

🔥 Rubio fired back on X (formerly Twitter):
✔ Called Rasool a “race-baiting politician” who hates Trump.
✔ Declared him “persona non grata”, effectively barring him from U.S. diplomatic functions.

What’s Next? Political Fallout Over Trump’s Decisions

With Trump restructuring security policies, cutting financial ties with South Africa, and pushing back against perceived political attacks, the coming weeks could see intensified debates over U.S. foreign policy, security spending, and immigration.

Will Congress push back on Trump’s Secret Service decision? Will the South Africa controversy escalate further? Stay tuned as this story develops.
